In early August, a large fire destroyed most of the Mission Autobody and Towing building. The company, which has been in the local business for 61 years, is still open, but for now only the towing division is operational. Quiring Towing, Aggressive Towing, Mission Towing and Reliable Towing are also included in the series. In 2002, the current owners, Muhammad Choudary and Vernon Oliver, purchased Mission Wrecker Service and merged their operations with their company A Ace Towing and began operations at their repair shop located on Nacogdoches Road. Mission Wrecker Service was founded in 1970 by David Pizzini and Llyod Mooney as a light-duty towing and recovery provider to local car dealerships and law enforcement agencies.
